1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the dev-zen mobile application ("App", "Service"), you ("User", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms apply to all versions of the dev-zen App, including any updates, modifications, or new features added over time.

dev-zen is a personal wellness application designed for software developers and knowledge workers. It provides tools for tracking physical health, mental wellbeing, focus, sleep, and habits.

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. We will notify you in advance of any price changes. Your continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

The content provided in dev-zen, including but not limited to exercise demonstrations, breathing exercises, wellness tips, mood tracking, sleep guidance, and journal prompts, is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for professional medical diagnosis, treatment, or advice.

7.2 Consult Your Healthcare Provider

Before starting any exercise program, especially if you have existing health conditions, injuries, or chronic pain, consult a qualified healthcare professional. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read or saw in the App.

7.3 Exercise Risk

Exercise carries inherent risks, including the risk of injury. You perform all exercises in the App at your own risk. Stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or any discomfort.

7.4 Mental Health Tools

The journal, CBT reflection tools, and mindfulness exercises in dev-zen are personal wellness tools, not therapy. They are not designed to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any mental health condition, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, or burnout.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, suicidal thoughts, or severe psychological distress, please seek immediate help from a qualified mental health professional or crisis service.

Premium features include AI-generated content (wellness insights, journal prompts) powered by Anthropic's Claude. This AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only and is subject to the same health disclaimers above.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Content

dev-zen and all content within the App, including but not limited to text, graphics, animations, logos, icons, and software, are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

8.2 Your Content

Any data you enter into the App (mood logs, journal entries, habit records) belongs to you. You grant us no rights to this content beyond what is necessary to operate the App (i.e., storing it locally on your device).

8.3 Licence to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

9. Third-Party Services

dev-zen integrates with or displays content from third-party services including:

Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party services.

9.1 BetterHelp Affiliate Disclosure

dev-zen may display affiliate promotions for BetterHelp, an online therapy platform. These are clearly labelled as "Sponsored" content. If you click through and sign up for BetterHelp, we may receive a commission. This does not affect the price you pay. We only display this content when the App determines it may be genuinely relevant to you.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, third parties, or for any other reason at our discretion.

You may stop using the App and delete it from your device at any time.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India (or the jurisdiction of the user's country for certain consumer protection laws that may apply locally).

For EU/UK users: These Terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable EU/UK consumer protection laws.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and dev-zen regarding the App and supersede all prior agreements.
